In regards to American politics, the more I see, the more I think this country needs an adjustment. This needs to be a change in thinking. Americans are conned into thinking that everything that they have worked for will be taken away.

The ones who make the most noise are the same who have benefitted from the ignorant. It goes to show “if you keep saying the same lie over and over again, people will eventually accept it as the truth”.

Wake up America!

Seems like everywhere you go there is something about zombies. What I do not get is the recent fascination with these fictitious characters.

Why would anybody want to “reanimate” someone or something that is already dead? Are we as a society that debased? Afraid of death? Or more likely see ourselves in a world that we allow to define us.

The advent of cable television and more recently “reality t.v.” had thrusted upon us the way we should view ourselves. Shows like “Jersey Shore” and Catching Up With the Kardashians” as well as anything on MTV shove down our throats how people live. The cable news networks, i.e. FoxNews and MSNBC, are no better.

These programs fill people with feelings of inadequacy and self-loathing. Honestly, does one think that any of the Kardashians ever put in a hard day’s work? Do any of the cable networks ever show anything uplifting or positive?

The answer is some times but more often not. This is because bad news sells more advertising than good news. It is all about the Almighty Dollar. Do not let some conservative preacher tell you otherwise because these charlatans worship at the altar of money. Sorry God.

We have allowed ourselves to become zombies to consumerism and shallowness. This is probably the inspiration for all the zombie paraphernalia out there. Hopefully, humanity will one day wake up to life and stop continuing on as the “walking dead”.

House Speaker John Boehner said that Republicans would work toward abolishing Obamacare which was recently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. They plan on playing semantics with Chief Justice John Roberts’ ruling that the individual mandate part of the law is a “tax”. Of course Mitt Romney says that he will work towards repealing Obamacare because it is a tax.

Well, I live in Massachusetts, the only state in the Union, where the individual mandate is the law of the land. What Speaker Boehner and Rep. Eric Cantor seem to gloss over is who the governor of Massachusetts was at the time of the passing of the individual mandate and signed it into law.

None other than Governor Mitt Romney.

Remember this simple equation:

Obamacare = Romneycare

In Massachusetts if you do not buy private health insurance you are subject to a $900 dollar fine which is assessed to your income taxes at the end of the year. So, using Republican logic this is a tax which only Massachusetts residents are subject to at the moment.

Therefore, it is extremely disingenuous of Gov. Romney to say that he is not in favor of taxing those who can not afford health insurance. He already did it in Massachusetts.
