Merry Christmas! Joyeux Noel! Feliz Natal! Feliz Navidad!

Displaying how I know how to say “Merry Christmas” in four languages. Alright, maybe I am showing off but it’s the Holiday Season. It is a day to be happy and promote peace (at least for a day).

Recent events though have made this season painful. First, there was Hurricane Sandy which devastated parts of the Northeast. Then there was the tragedy in Connecticut where a psychopath walked into a school and killed 20 children. How can these events have happened?

It is so important this year for people to remember those who are in pain. The Holidays can bring out so much unhappiness in contrast to the joy experienced by others. In the spirit of the season, we should help those who are suffering in whatever capacity that we can.

Christmas is supposed to be a time of giving but many of us forget this fact to focus on ourselves. With all the information and garbage that the World Wide Web brings us, it is no wonder folks forget about things like the Golden Rule (remember that?) and just plain decency.

With today’s media, one can not say “God” in public or “Merry Christmas” without offending some atheist who feels that they are being discriminated against. Atheists say that they are tolerant but if one were to see their actions they are not. Perhaps, this has led to the moral decay in this country. People have been forced to take God out of their lives only to be replaced by reality television, violent video games, other mindless television programs, and the list goes on and on.

In my own experience, I kept God out of my life for my own selfish reasons. And you know what? My life was not that great. I was selfish and could care less about others never mind the rest of the world. I was miserable and worst of all I was making the people that I love miserable as well. Now that was selfish, they did not deserve this.

It was not until that I let God back into my life that I started to see some improvement. The feelings of compassion and caring came back to me. Also, I did not feel spiritually empty any longer. I felt that I had some guidance or some sort of path to follow.

Now, I am not trying to push an agenda on anyone here. This is my own personal experience which I just felt like sharing. We all need to find our own happiness.

The point is people should not be intimidated into not being able to say “Merry Christmas” or “God, bless you” for fear of not being politically correct. Let’s face it most atheists and so-called progressives are probably the most politically incorrect people out there.

But don’t tell them that.

Anyway, I digress. Remember this Holiday Season to remember those who are suffering in your prayers and actions. God bless and have a Merry, Merry Christmas!!!

It just ceases to amaze me how dishonest people can be. Especially, with it being the Christmas season. I suspect someone of taking something without my consent and this infuriates me.

The suspect in this case is someone whom I have always given the benefit of the doubt even when others have told me that I am crazy. Now I am beginning to think that maybe I am.

Christmas to me always seemed to be a time of “peace on earth and goodwill towards men”. Maybe, I have been too naive about the true nature of some people.

The most important thing though is that I need to look beyond this and not let it ruin my holiday spirit. Karma will take care of this person.

To everyone else… Merry Christmas!!!
