Show us the money

President Barrack Obama gave his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention last evening. Now, he is set to take on Republican Mitt Romney in the national election for the presidency. During his acceptance speech the President made a number of claims.

The chief claim amongst these was what to do with the money saved now that American military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan are winding down. Obama said that he will use the money to rebuild America’s sagging infrastructure. Yet, when fact checked the money used for the wars was all borrowed money (shocking is it not!).

I am curious as to where most of the money was borrowed from. China? Now, that would be ironic and sad at the same time.

The President also made claim that manufacturing jobs were returning to the U.S.

“Made in America” tags were popping up again.

Where?

America can and will make a comeback. The only thing is our leaders need to be honest with the American people. It seems so easy to ask but difficult to deliver.

In a talentless world, blinded by superficiality and blind ambition, how we have lost our way.

People are so caught up in watching “reality” television and gossip instead of focusing on things that really matter, i.e. family, friends, life.

Once people realize that life is meant to be lived and not spent watching television then the world will be a much better place.
