Thus far in this blog, I have been making note of things that have been occurring in the world. Many of them making note of some of the more ridiculous events. Yet, these are all distractions. Many of us forget the more important things in life.

We tend to forget about the importance of family and friends. Forgetting also about the importance of building relationships and caring for one another.

Our society has become misogynist. We celebrate the bad fortune of others while celebrating the deplorable behavior of celebrities. How did society get this messed up?

Perhaps, it has always been this way.

We do not need to tolerate any of this. Everybody can create a whole new world by changing their ways of thinking. Too much negativity has never been a good thing.

It is only when we appreciate the simpler things in life that we may start to understand peace.

When was the last time you have walked in the forest and stop to listen to the sound of the wind blowing through the trees? When was the last time you really took everything in and just let it be?

It is though understanding nature and changing our ways of thinking that we can finally create a new world. Let go of the things which stress us and focus on those that bring us inner peace.

Sure, this sounds easier than done but the feeling one gets is liberating. Inner peace is what many of us need to do because if one is not comfortable with them self then there is little hope that one will know inner peace.

Just another hypocritical politician. All talk then does the opposite. No wonder why things never get done in Washington.

The Last Of The Millenniums

When Senator Rand Paul made his ‘historic’ talking filibuster, he was touted as a ‘hero’, the new front runner in the 2016 Republican Presidential race.

It now turns out that the ‘principles’ that Senator Rand Paul sood for during that ‘historic’ filibuster, were for show.

Just a fake covering over the real Rand Paul.

‘Marking an abrupt shift in tone from his epic March filibuster, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said late Monday that he would be fine with a drone killing a run-of-the-mill armed robber’.

“Here’s the distinction: I have never argued against any technology being used when you have an imminent threat, an act of crime going on,” Paul said on Fox Business Network. “If someone comes out of a liquor store with a weapon and $50 in cash, I don’t care if a drone kills him or a policeman kills him. But it’s different if they want to…

Life is like baseball

All winter long I have been looking forward to the baseball season. Baseball is the sport that I enjoy the most. It is America’s past time. No other game imitates life like baseball does. The game has its ups and downs, streaks and slumps, grand slams and occasional triple plays (not very often but it does). Games can be short or long just like life can seem to be at times.

We have all had good and bad times in our lives. We have had streaks of good luck and times when we wonder if anything will ever go right (slumps).

The most important thing is how we deal with these situations. Do you hang your head in defeat when you do not achieve your goals? Or do you get up dust yourself off and step back into the batter’s box of life to take another swing.

Like anything else the easiest thing to do is nothing like taking a pitch. Or work hard and take a swing hoping to drive one out of the park.

This is how to play the game of life and succeed. Get up there and take your swings.

Batter up!!!
