It was a disturbing image the other night from the Team USA basketball team scrimmage from the other night when Paul George broke his leg. The image was so disturbing that ESPN found it necessary to blur out the image of the injury (now that’s some serious stuff). His teammates on Team USA were all visibly shaken by this and as a result Coach Mike Krzyzewski called off the rest of the scrimmage.
There were tweets and prayer offerings from all over for George and his recovery. NFL Hall of Famer, Joe Theismann, who suffered a similar career ending injury offered his prayers.
George’s road to recovery will be a long one but hopefully he will be able to continue with his NBA career.
This reminds one of how quickly life can change in a matter of seconds. We need to keep living life to the fullest and remember what is (are) most important.
